The electric signal in the nervous system that is equivalent to "1" in the computer is the "action potential".

Computers, with the digital system, use only 0 and 1 for electric signals. Neurons handle information similarly. The "action potential" in the neuron is equivalent to "1" in the computer. An action potential is either generated or not generated, as in the "all or none" law.
