To obtain energy, cells take in nurtrients from outside. There is a large amount of energy in the nutrient. The energy is chemical energy, descried in red lines, which connect the atoms, such as carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen in the nutrient into one molecule. In other words, when nutrients enter a cell, described in green arrow, chemical energy of nutirient also enters the cell, decribed in red arrow.
Please be noted that the nutrients shown above, are not carbohydrate nor lipid. This has many carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and is a fictional nutrient which can be equally divided into two-division.
