When the room temperature is increased（red→blue）negative feedback inhibits the heater (function). When the rom temperature is decreased,（blue→red）negative feedback facilitates the heater (function).
When the room temperature is increased（blue→red）negative feedback facilitaes the cooler (function). When the rom temperature is decreased,（red→blue）negative feedback inhibits the cooler (function).


Heaters are used in the winter and coolers are used in the summer (because they are "in the opposite direction", respectively).
