Rinne Test


  (上段)振動している音叉を乳突起の上に置くと、最初、音が聞こえます。
(top) Immediately after a vibrating tuning fork is placed on the mastoid process, sound can be heard.


  (中段)振動が減衰すると、音が聞こえなくなります。
(middle) When the vibration weakens, sound can no longer can be heard.


  (下段)このとき、音叉を耳のすぐそばに持っていきます。正常人、感音性難聴の患者さんでは、伝音機能による増幅のため、乳突起にあてて聞こえなかった音叉が聞こえます。伝音機能の検査ですので、伝音性難聴の場合は、聞こえません。
(bottom) Immediately after the sound can no longer be heard, if the fork is moved very close to the auricle, the sound will be heard again in normal people, because of the amplification effect in the conductive process, taking place in the outer and middle ear.  In those with conductive hearing impairment, the vibration is not amplified, and no sound will be heard.
