Summarizing the above-mentioned steps, the pathways that travel through the right or left half of the spinal cord is as follows. With trauma etc damaging the right or left half of the spinal cord, the following functions will be lost below the level of damage. This is called the Brown-Sequard syndrome.

RIGHT half of the spinal cord
sensation of temperature and pain on the LEFT side
deep sensation, touch/pressure sensation on the RIGHT side
voluntary motion on the RIGHT side

LEFT half of the spinal cord
sensation of temperature and pain on the RIGHT side
deep sensation, touch/pressure sensation on the LEFT side
voluntary motion on the LEFT side
