A neuron is made up of the following basic structures: nervous cell body, axon (or nerve fiber), dendrite, and nerve ending. The connection between a neuron and another neuron is the synapse.
Within a cell, the cell body side is the 'central' side, and the nerve ending side is the 'peripheral side'.
