When room temperature is increased（red → blue）negative feedback inhibits the heater (function). When room temperature is decreased,（blue → red）negative feedback facilitates the heater (function).
When room temperature is increased（blue → red）negative feedback facilitates the cooler (function). When room temperature is decreased,（red → blue）negative feedback inhibits the cooler (function).
